Service Futures Group

The two leading bodies in the IT Service Management industry – SDI and itSMF UK have joined forces to form the Service Futures Group (SFG) – a not for profit collaboration, which produces quarterly reports on a range of Service Management issues and topics. We provide a consolidated viewpoint from industry leaders, both on current trends and future developments assessing the potential impact for businesses and practitioners.

  Our Mission

The Service Futures Group recognises the need to consolidate the plethora of information that is available in order to provide the IT Service Management industry with a central point of reference for statistics, research and opinion.

It is our mission to deliver regular output and opinion pieces to the industry on key service topics about what is happening now in the industry and to provide insight into where the industry is going in the future.  We explore and review innovation in all aspects of delivery - operations, processes, tools, management, personal development, projects etc.

The Service Futures Group is not a committee; it welcomes input from a  variety of areas and is marketed to practitioners, press and the industry as a whole.  The reports produced are an invaluable resource tool for all senior IT professionals and Service Management practitioners and are especially beneficial to those responsible for implementing service improvement projects and providing statistics to support operational and strategic decisions.

The group comprises a small core of invited industry contributors willing to participate, plus a wider group who simply subscribe and receive the reports.  Subscribers use the service to keep up to date with developments, trends and key information about the industry on a regular basis and with minimum effort.  Participants have the opportunity  to be involved in setting the agenda for the industry, as well as benefiting from receiving the reports.
